Family Projection Process – Presented by Connie Totera-Hutchison
The Basic Seminar in Bowen Theory is a seven-month intensive forum for learning and studying the fundamental ideas and concepts of Bowen’s natural human systems theory. Past learners have included therapists, organizational and family business consultants, life coaches, leaders in communities of faith, attorneys, financial advisors, non-profit leaders, teachers and trainers, business managers, and others motivated to learn about their own functioning in relation to their significant family, organizational, or community systems. The curriculum is designed both for those new to the theory and for those who have been studying it for longer. As such, participants may enroll for successive years if they wish. Consistent with Bowen theory, the emphasis in the seminar is on self-directed learning through attending presentations by faculty, reading and writing, accessing audiovisual resources, completing an observation project, and applying the theory by studying one’s own relationship system—family, workplace, or community.
