© Western Pennsylvania Family Center, 1992.
Program: Bowen Lecture Series
Subject:
Author: Kerr, Michael, M.D. 4/28/92
Description: Dr. Kerr's goal is to present the concepts of Bowen Theory in an integrated fashion. The forces that govern our behavior may be as old as our DNA. Not all rats see the world in the same way. Trees affect each other; we could call this an emotional system amongst a cluster of trees. Emotional illness is on a continuum with all emotional behavior. Differentiation of self is a function of the human ability to watch self participate in the emotional system and to be factual about the observed person.
