What is the program about?

Ever wonder why you can communicate well with some people and not so well with others? Perhaps it’s related to personality “type.”

Come to Who You Are Is How You Say It and assess your Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) personality type. You will learn characteristics of each of the preferences, examples of how typically people in that preference communicate, ways “type” affects how you say what you say, and suggestions to improve communication with people not your “type.”

Who should attend?

Staff, supervisors, managers who communicate with people within the agency and/or clients

What will I learn?

Through viewing scenes from the reader and interactive discussion, participants will:

  • Self assess personality style
  • State characteristics of each personality preference type related to communications
  • Identify ways to communicate within and out of personality type
  • Identify 1 communication problem suspect related to personality type
  • Design action plan to improve communication situation related to personality type

How will I benefit?

  • Gain practical skills to communicate better
  • Assess personality type
  • Network with people from other agencies

When is the program offered?

We offer Who You Are Is How You Say It several times during the year. The Workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We will deliver the program during the fall of 2010 on these dates:
