What is the program about?

My supervisor just told me I need to appear in Court. Now what do I do? What happens there? What will they ask me? How do I answer? What do I say? What shouldn’t I say? What do I do? What do I wear? How long will it take?

If you want answers to these questions and more, come to the Western Pennsylvania Training Collaborative’s Court Protocol Lunch & Learn.

Representatives from both Criminal Justice and CYF (Children Youth & Family) will give you an overview of their organizations, share their perspectives and answer your questions.

Who should attend?

Direct Services Staff who work with families and children and must go to court.

What will I learn?

  • Describe role of Criminal Justice and CYF agencies with families

  • State set up of court
  • Improve working relationship with Criminal Justice and CYF

When is the program offered?

The Training Collaborative offers the Lunch & Learn several times throughout the year. Watch this page for the when we will offer the next Court Protocol Lunch & Learn.

The Lunch & Learn runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The format for the session includes:

  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Presentation about agency
  • 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. Buffet lunch
  • 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Presentation about agency
